D&D Knowledge Management Information Tool (KM-IT)

FIU’s Applied Research Center (ARC) is supporting the U.S. Department of Energy Headquarters in its mission to gather, organize, and maintain D&D knowledge and experience from across the DOE complex. The D&D KM-IT main site can be accessed at https://www.dndkm.org and the mobile site at http://m.dndkm.org/

Deactivation and decommissioning (D&D) work is a high priority across the DOE complex. Subject matter specialists
associated with the DOE sites and the D&D community have gained extensive knowledge and experience over the years. To prevent the D&D knowledge and expertise from being lost over time, an approach is needed to capture and maintain this valuable information in a universally available and easily usable system.
