Carter Center Commends Guyana’s Election Process

Last month, Applied Research Center’s Director of Operations, Mr. Brian Fonseca, traveled to Guam, where he participated in a day-long series of insightful briefings on Guyana’s political, social, economic, and security environments.

Brian’s 2-person team has been assigned to randomly monitor the 180 polling stations along the east bank of the Demerara River, in the Georgetown district. The team experienced a 12-hour day racing from polling station to polling station to provide effective monitoring.
