The Applied Research Center has extensive experience in building custom enterprise solutions using Microsoft.net technologies for various clients like DOE (Department of Energy), DOD (Department of Defense) and various Mentor-Protégé projects (MWH, Earth Tech etc). ARC researchers have extensive knowledge and experience in the enterprise application design /development and deployment of windows/web/wireless systems, XML web services, distributed application development, data mining, enterprise database management, technology management, content/portal management and knowledge management.

Custom applications are built using multi-tier/ service oriented architecture. Development methodologies used during custom development are system analysis and design, system/data/application modeling, objects oriented programming and component based development. Technologies used in these processes are Microsoft.net framework, SQL Server, Visual Basic.Net, Visual C#.Net, ASP.NET, XML/XSLT, AJAX, UML, WAP, SOAP, WSDL, and UDDI. Software tools used for custom development are Visual Studio.Net, SQL Server, Reporting Services, Windows SharePoint Services, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash etc.
