Joseph Sinicrope Mentors Future Engineers at the Intersection of Policy and Innovation through WISE Program

Joseph Sinicrope is serving as the faculty mentor for the Washington Internships for Students of Engineering (WISE) Program, sponsored by ASTM and IEEE. This competitive program introduces selected students to the intersection of engineering and public policy. Engineering students from universities across the country participate in a structured curriculum and visit federal agencies and institutions throughout the Washington, D.C. area. The program culminates in the development of policy papers that propose technology-based solutions to some of the nation’s most pressing challenges, which the students then present during briefings on Capitol Hill.
