Applied Artificial Intelligence

ARC performs extensive research in the area of Applied Artificial Intelligence providing solutions in Cybersecurity, Nuclear, Computer Vision, IoT, Robotics, Sensor, and Network application domains for federal / state governments and national labs. Current research is focused on Machine Learning, Deep Learning,  Big Data, Visualization, and Blockchain with On-Premise & Cloud deployment.

ARC has established an Artificial Intelligence & Big Data Hub equipped with CPU/GPU servers to support the Applied Artificial Intelligence research efforts.

ARC researchers are also teaching the undergraduate & graduate Applied Artificial Intelligence concentration courses in Electrical & Computer Engineering

Research Areas and Capabilities

Machine Learning

Machine learning is a part of artificial intelligence focused on the development of models that can learn patterns from data, and make useful predictions based on them. Model development and prediction heavily relies on mathematical statistical analysis and optimization methods. ARC has extensive experience in SQL Server, R Server, Azure – cloud based and open source machine learning technologies.

Data Analytics

Data analytics research is focused on qualitative and quantitative techniques and processes. Data is extracted and categorized to identify and analyze behavioral data, patterns and techniques based on research objectives. Extensive experience in Microsoft platform for data storage, aggregation and analysis using SQL server, Integration server, Analysis server.

Visualization

Visualization provides the dashboard, mobile / web interfaces on Microsoft platform, reports using SQL Server Reporting Services to display the prediction results, graphs and charts based on the machine learning modes, test cases and various aggregated data.

Infrastructure

img_5507ARC has secured state of art IT infrastructure to support systems developed for various clients like DOE-EM and TRMC-DOD. These systems are housed in the Cyberspace Lab and DOE-EM facility.

Cyberspace Lab:

ARC has set up a cyberspace lab to support DOD’s TRMC STEM support in the areas of cyberspace and information assurance (IA) test technology development. The Cyberspace Lab will be used for following activities.

  • Design and development of a cyber test bed.
  • Establish TRMC node by connecting to Joint Mission Environment Test Capability (JMETC) and NST Technology Integration Environment (TIE) laboratory
  • Identify and assess technologies for testing and evaluation (T&E) of cyber ranges (eg: Emulab used in National Cyber Range (NCR))
