Dr. Masudur R. Siddiquee is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Applied Research Center (ARC) of Florida International University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Florida International University in 2020. His M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees are in Applied Physics, Electronics and Communication Engineering. His research interests include Machine learning, Deep learning, Cloud Computing, IoT, Sensors, and Cyber Security.
Dr. Siddiquee developed a framework based on machine learning and signal processing to detect attention levels as part of his Ph.D. research. This framework made it possible to detect attention levels even during walking with the help of an optimized sensor system and machine learning. His research led to 11 research articles published in highly reputed journals and conferences such as IEEE Transaction on Affective Computing, IEEE HSI, MDPI Sensors, and IEEE ICMLA. His article in IEEE HSI was selected as the best paper at that conference. Currently, at ARC, he is involved in the Department of Energy’s (DOE) various research projects on artificial intelligence (AI) for soil and groundwater contamination monitoring and remediation activities.
