Mehrnoosh Mahmoudi, PhD Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Mehrnoosh (Noosha) Mahmoudi is a new postdoc fellow at the Applied Research Center. She received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology (IUT), Iran. Her M.S. in Environmental Engineering and her Ph.D. in Geoscience were both earned from Florida International University. She has presented her research on wetland landscape morphology at several conferences over the past 5 years. Her recent paper on hydrology entitled, “Fine Spatial Resolution Simulation of Two-Dimensional Modeling of Flow Pulses Discharge into Wetlands: Case Study of Loxahatchee Impoundment Landscape Assessment (LILA), the Everglades”, demonstrates how the surface flow pattern may affect the transport and further changes in highly vegetated areas such as the Everglades
