FIU-ARC honored to host the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) workshop

Florida International University’s Applied Research Center was honored to host the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) workshop entitled “Interregional Workshop on Optimization of Technology Selection for Decommissioning of Large and Small Nuclear Installations.” The workshop was conducted on the campus of Florida International University in Miami, Florida during the week of September 9 – 13, 2019. The workshop counted with the participation of Member State countries from Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Hungary, Indonesia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Germany, Norway and the US. The workshop involved technical presentations, case studies, lab tours and exercises provided by international experts from Germany and Norway, as well as experts from Argonne National Lab and FIU’s Applied Research Center. The workshop was led by IAEA representative (Mr. Patrick O’Sullivan) and by FIU-ARC’s Director of Research, Dr. Leonel Lagos.
