FIU-ARC hosts workshop to review robotic technologies being developed at FIU

Miami, February 14, 2024
FIU’s Applied Research Center is hosting a two-day technical meeting with representatives from DOE contractor (Washington River Protection Solutions) and Savannah River National lab. The objective of the workshop is to review robotic technologies being developed at FIU in support of DOE Tank Farm at the Hanford site in Richland, WA. In addition, other robotic research projects being conducted as part of DOE EM’s Minority Serving Institutions Partnering Program (MSIPP) and Sandia National laboratories Exoskeleton consortium were showcased and reviewed. A lab tour was also conducted, where ARC staff and students presented the various robotic systems being developed for DOE EM (see pictures below).
